When I decided to become a full time photographer in late 2007, I never imagined that I would be marketer, financial adviser, bookkeeper, representative, secretary and researcher before I would be a photographer. Getting your name and images into the public domain is far more difficult than to take a good photo. The competition is fierce and it all boils down to how good your marketing skills are.
Marketing is almost like baking a bread, you need to add the ingredients, knead it to a consistent dough and then allow it to rest for a while to rise and knead it down again before sliding it into a hot oven, and then watch it bake.
And baking a successful bread for the first time is far more satisfying than buying one at the shop around the corner.
And one bread will not satisfy your hunger for long…….
