I have been blessed with excellent light during my May-trip at Nieuwoudtville on the slopes of the Quiver Tree Forest, the first good light of the Northern Cape tour and sadly, it was also the last. We visited Augrabies next ( where I told you about my unfortunate mishap with my filters becoming part of the scenery ) and even though I religiously worked every sunrise and sunset, there was never any great light to work with and my images came out dull and boring. Augrabies is a magical place with beautiful landscapes and I hope to return there one day with better light conditions.
The Quiver Tree Forest images made my trip worthwhile though and these two images at top and bottom are being offered as limited edition prints of 20 each. Visit my Gallery in Hermanus to see them printed on canvas 1.6m wide.
